What is video game?
A video game is an electronic game that you can play on computer, game console, tablet or smartphone.
This includes images, sounds and rules that allow you to control a character or object to meet the challenges.
Example: In Super Mario, you control Mario to jump on obstacles and collect coins.
What makes a video game?
A video game is made up of several important parts:
a. Code
• Code is the language that tells the game what to do.
• It likes to instruct a robot!
• Kodar uses special languages like Python, C ++, or JavaScript to make games.
Example: The code tells the game, “When the player presses the jump button, jump the character.”
b. Graphics
• Graphics are images and artwork you see in the game.
• It includes characters, backgrounds, objects and effects.
Examples: Mario Carts have green pipes and mushrooms part of graphics.
c. sound
• Sound includes music, voice and effects (eg jumping, crashing, or winning).
• Sound makes the game exciting and more real!
Example: When you win a level, the music changes to make you feel happy.
d. Sports mechanics
• These are the rules of the game – how your character goes, what you can do and what not.
• It makes the game fun and challenging.
Example: In anger birds, you can pull the bird back and allow it to fly in hit blocks.
How do you play a game?
To play a game, you need a controller:
• A gamepad (for Xbox or PlayStation)
• A keyboard and mouse (for PC game)
• Touchscreen (on phone and tablet)
