What is Reproduction?
Reproduction is how living things create new life or have babies.
Just like humans have babies, animals also have babies that grow up to become adults.
Example:
A dog gives birth to puppies.
A hen lays eggs that hatch into chicks.
Reproduction helps animals continue their species so they don’t disappear from Earth.
Why is Reproduction Important?
Reproduction is very important for all living beings.
If animals did not reproduce:
There would be no new animals.
Some animals might even disappear forever!
Example:
If no lions are born, one day there will be no lions left on Earth!
So, reproduction helps keep animal life going.
Types of Animal Reproduction
There are two main types of animal reproduction:

The eggs hatch into tadpoles (baby frogs).
Tadpoles grow legs and lose their tails.

How Do Animals Reproduce?
Animals have special body parts that help them reproduce.
There are two main ways:
Sexual Reproduction
This is the most common method in animals.
Two animals – a male and a female – are needed.
The male and female share cells that come together to form a baby.

Asexual Reproduction
